This course provides a comprehensive overview of the principles, objectives and practices
involved in competency-based assessment. It is designed to equip educators, trainers, and HR
professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to design, develop, implement, and review
effective assessment strategies that are aligned with industry requirements.
Further, the course will expose the participants on how to develop and use the key assessment tools
assessment documents that are used in competence-based assessment.

d) Performance criteria weighting tool
e) Table of specification (Conventional Training)
f) Assessment guideline
g) Competence based education and training assessment standards (CBETA standards)

k) Formative assessment marksheet
l) Critical summary
m) Validation checklist for assessment tools

By the end of this course, participants will have honed their competencies on how to conduct a
trainee centreed competence-based assessment and provide constructive assessment feedback.
