PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT
COURSE DESCRIPTOR
This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of psychosocial support and change management. It aims to equip trainees with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to support individuals and organizations through
periods of change, crisis, and transition.
SCOPE
The course will explore various psychosocial support strategies, in diverse areas such as grief, crisis and trauma counselling, addiction and stigma, managing stress, lifestyle diseases, resolving social feuds and conflicts, Set goals effectively in order to tackle time wasters, change management theories, and their application in real-world scenarios.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, the participant should be able to:
a) Describe key components of Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support programmes
b) Conduct mental health needs assessments and propose actionable interventions
c) Develop a comprehensive plan for implementing Mental Health and Psycho-Social support services
d) Demonstrate the use of various techniques and strategies for effectively managing grief, crisis, and trauma
e) Develop strategies to address addiction and stigma
f) Identify stress management techniques
g) Analyse strategies for intersecting development factors in relation to lifestyle diseases.
h) Apply relevant skills in resolving social feuds and conflicts
