DTVET Course Selection

Course Description

This course equips the trainees with relevant knowledge and skills required to effectively select and offer a dual course in their institutions. Participants will be equipped with practical skills of selecting and rolling out a dual course in their institution.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the training, the participants should be able to:

  • Describe benefits, strategies and concepts of Dual TVET

  • Assess the resources at available to facilitate beginning Dual-TVET programmes.

  • Select a course to offer under Dual-TVET

  • Assess the catchment area for the demand of the selected course

Course Description

The Dual-TVET course on Acquiring Training Slots focuses on equipping Industry Liaison Officers (ILOs) with the skills to secure practical training placements for students. Through this course, ILOs learn to build partnerships with industry stakeholders, ensuring that students gain relevant, hands-on experience alongside their theoretical education. This approach aligns students’ skill sets with current industry needs, effectively preparing them for the workforce
